What a vulgar bit of arrogance to so lightly speak to the voice of experience! The Scriptures place great emphasis on the learning that may be reaped from the elderly because of their years of experience. He acts like a fool who despises the instruction of experience. And what is the study of history if it is not the study of experience? Yet, multitudes scorn this mine of learning as though the bliss of ignorance was worthy of merit. The study of history reflects the age in which we live and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit gives us a proper understanding of current trends.
